She was a lifelong resident of Belle Chasse, and retired as a medical technician at West Jefferson Medical Center after nearly 25 years. Jean had a love of life that could only be surpassed by the love she had for her family and friends. She was the biggest fan of all of her children and their accomplishments, and she loved to join her grandchildren in any celebration that embraced their favorite activities. Jean’s heart was always kind and giving and her favorite things included singing karaoke, dining out with family and friends, celebrating birthdays, knitting caps for cancer patients and she had a love of orchids that she shared with her late husband, Ronald. Jean enjoyed visiting the Belle Chasse Senior Center daily to share her morning and afternoons with friends, and was also a familiar face at the local donut shop. She was a devoted member of Salem Lutheran Church in Gretna and always looked forward to Sunday church services and dinner afterwards with her children and grandchildren which included a much needed visit to the Dairy Dip. Jean’s heart will mourn no longer for her one and only love, Ronald, as they are now united in God’s glorious kingdom of eternal life.
