Carlo Joseph "C.J." Taravella Jr.

Carlo Joseph “C.J.” Taravella Jr., was “alive and well, thank you,” until he passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the age of 68. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine Bird Taravella and Carlo Joseph Taravella Sr. He is the companion of Linda Allen, his loving partner for the past 20 years. He is the loving father of Delaney Colombo (Dwayne), Cicely Taravella, and Carly Baxter (Jason). He is the devoted grandfather of beloved granddaughter, Mallory. He is the loving brother of Michael Taravella, Gregory Taravella, and Joseph Taravella. He is also survived by his cherished MGB Landspeeder; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A native of the Westbank and a resident of LaPlace, C.J. served his country proudly in the US Air Force. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation beginning at 9:30 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Rosalie Catholic Church, 600 2nd Avenue, Harvey, LA. Private Family Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. at a later date. Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. in charge of arrangements.
