Cheryl Gonzales Stainback, 76, of Waggaman, LA, passed away on February 28, 2022. Cheryl was born on February 14, 1946 to Lawrence J. Gonzales & Rosa Mae Trahan Gonzales in Gretna, LA.
Cheryl was an incredibly loving Mother and Grandmother and a kind heart to anyone who crossed her path.
From her two previous marriages she went on to have 5 children, Michael Ahysen. Pamela A. Jackson (John), Kevin Ahysen, Brandi S. Dufrene and Shawn Stainback (Julia), along with 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She also stepped in to help raise her brother’s children, Mechel G. Perrin, Brian Gonzales and the late Jason Gonzales. Cheryl was preceded in death by siblings, Lawrence “Tiny” Gonzales, Melda Alexander, Ethel Mae Roson, Brenda Gonzales and Eno Gonzales. She is survived by her sister Mary Cathy Palmer. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, March 7, 2022 at 11am.
