Connie Wininger Delatte

Connie Wininger Delatte passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Don Delatte. Mother of Don Delatte Jr. (Thatsawan), Brian Delatte, Stephanie Scullin (Ronald), and Shannon Delatte. Grandmother of Cassidy, Hunter, Tate, Scout, and Cooper. Sister of Charlene Kline (Alvin), Linda Shepard, and the late Charles Wininger Jr. (Gail). Daughter of the late Emelda Dallam Wininger and Charles Wininger. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Connie was raised in Algiers, LA, graduated from Behrman High School and later, from Our Lady of Holy Cross College where she earned her degree in Education. She spent most of her career at Boothville-Venice Elementary School where she loved teaching her 1st graders. In her early years, she enjoyed gardening and later, bus trips to the casino and visits with the grandchildren. She touched the hearts and lives of so many, that while her passing is sorrowful, her legacy will live forever.

Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 9am to 11am. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
