Corinne "Cora" Ribaul Sweeney

Corinne “Cora” Ribaul Sweeney, a native of Gretna, returned to the Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at the age of 87. Cora is preceded in death by her son, Christopher B. Sweeney; parents, Joseph and Mary DiBenedetto Ribaul; sisters, Virginia R. Martinez and Rosalie R. Ory; brothers, Joseph Ribaul Jr., Leon Ribaul, Salvador Ribaul and John Ribaul. She is loving sister of Mary R. Bose, Antoinette “Toni” R. Richard, and Lucille “LuLu” R. Greene. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family members and friends. Cora retired from the family business, Ribaul Transfer Company and also the Jefferson Parish Court House. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Visitation on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th Street, Gretna, LA. Interment Hook and Ladder Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers Masses.
