David Charles Manno

November 8, 1958 — June 24, 2014

David Charles Manno passed away on June 24, 2014 at the age of 55 years. The beloved Father of Tiffany Manno and David Leigh Manno. Grandfather of Sean Titman, whom he adored. Son of Dominick Manno Jr., Lea Manno and the late Elizabeth St. Louis Manno Pleyel. Brother of Dominick Manno III, Todd Manno, Steven and Scott Searcy. Former husband of Angela Underwood Manno. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
David was a very proud, caring, and diligent man who dedicated to his career as an Assistant Professor of Collision Repair Technology at Delgado Community College. Among his proudest achievements was his service as a Chief in the U.S. Navy Reserve VFA-204 'River Rattlers' Fighter Squadron and as a Retired Sergeant for the Gretna Police Department Reserve Division. His three words to live by in times of hardship were "Faith Hope and Love."
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to NAMI New Orleans.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment with Military Honors will take place at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA.
