Floyd Joseph Sampey Sr

Mr. Floyd Joseph Sampey Sr., 82 of Bridge City, LA. was called home to the Lord on February 19,,, 2023. Floyd was born December 18th, 1940 to the late Everal and Doris Sampey. At a young age Floyd met and married the love of his life, the late Emily Guidry Sampey. To this love, they were blessed with 4 children: Floyd Sampey Jr. (Donnella); the late Timothy Sampey (Tricia); Chad Sampey (Julie); and Kevin Sampey (Nicole). Brother of: the late Harold Sampey (Fay); David Sampey (Gail); and Loretta Palm (John).
Grandfather of Floyd III; Dustin; Amanda; Ashley; Brittany; Brad; Chad Jr.; Courtney; Ashley; Kevin Jr; and Shea. Great-grandfather of Kyler; Carly; Kadence; Avery; Blaine; Bryson; Emma; Vivian; Brynlee; Kali; Emily; and Lincoln. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Floyd loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was always the life of the party making jokes and brightening any room he walked into. He had a huge heart, and he never met a person he wasn’t willing to help, and
was loved and respected by everyone around him. He gave that same love and respect back to everyone who entered his life. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 11am.
