Helen Boudreaux Cemo, of Marrero, Louisiana passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving
family on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the age of 91.
Helen was born on January 15, 1931 to the late Abdon and Onyx Boudreaux. She was the loving
and dedicated wife of the late Joseph S. Cemo for 64 years. Devoted mother of her twin daughters
Sharon Cemo and Karen Blanchard (Rory). Proud Grandmother of Ashley Blanchard, Michael
Klein (Chelsea) and Samantha Klein. Very proud Great Grandmother of Kolten Klein.
She is preceded in death by her siblings Clarence Boudreaux, Grace Cerniglia, Raymond
Boudreaux, and Abdon Boudreaux, Jr. Helen is also survived by nieces and nephews and other
relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Helen was a strong women of faith, independent, could be sassy, an avid world traveler and
enjoyed shopping at Macy's. She gave from the heart and was always there if you needed her.
The Cemo Family would like to thank her care giver Ruby Jackson, the Neuro Critical Care Team
and the Emergency Department Nurses at West Jefferson Medical Center and the members of
Passages Hospice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 4401 7th St., in Marrero, LA on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 1pm. Visitation will begin at 10:30am and continue until Mass time. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave., in Gretna, LA.
