Karen Louise Poole Roussel, age 58, a native of Belle Chasse, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA peacefully entered Heaven on December 10, 2016 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 36 years to Arthur Joseph Roussel. Loving mother of Matthew Breland Roussel and fiancé, Skye James. Daughter of Mary Nell and John Breland Poole, Sr. Sister of John Breland Poole, Jr. (Marilyn) and Kevin David Poole (Gwen).. Also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Dottie Lee and Jay Paul Roussel, Sr.; Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Kathy Roussel Burke (Kenny), Jay Paul Roussel, Jr. (Stacey), Dottie Lee Roussel Richard (Clay), Russell Anthony Roussel (Jena) and MaryAnn Roussel Pena (Angel). Beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by countless friends whom she loved and cherished. Relatives, friends and employees of Chevron Oronite, Oak Point Plant are welcome to attend the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 12 Noon. The Mass will be held at St. Cletus Catholic Church, 3610 Claire Avenue, Gretna, LA. Visitation will begin at 9AM at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the Yenni Cancer Center at East Jefferson General Hospital or Heart of Hospice in Gretna, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
