Kenneth “Skelly” “Ken” A. Legendre, a retired United States Postal Service mail carrier died on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the age of 73. Ken was born and lived in Algiers most of his life until moving to Terrytown. Skelly attended Southeastern University and was on the 1966 - 1968 baseball team. After returning from a tour of duty in Vietnam, Ken finished his education at Our Lady of Holy Cross College. Ken was a baseball enthusiast and Civil War Historian and in his retirement traveled and visited battlefields and baseball parks around the United States. He was a member of many organizations that researched the different Civil War flags used in battle.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents Sarah Falletta Legendre and Camille “Bud” Legendre, Jr. Ken leaves behind a brother Paul Legendre, nephews Paul, Jr. and Phillip Legendre, also survived by great nieces and nephew.
