Marvin Milton Bush passed away Friday, November 27, 2015. Beloved husband of Minta Rau Bush for 67 years. Father of Michael Bush (Debbie), Kenneth Bush (Terrie), Amy B. Trosclair (Keith), Georgette B. Cristina (Pete), Madelyn B. Jones (Eddie), Claudia B. Laigast (Guy), and Vic Bush (Lori). Grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 19. Son of the late Joseph Bush and Marie Berthelot Bush. Brother of Pat Bush, Claire Tomlinson, “Toots” Martha Lusignan, and “Nardy” Bernard Bush, and the late Bill Bush, Freida Bush, Roy Bush, “Chick” James Bush, Johnny Bush, “Ticker” Audrey Chauffe, and Frances Michel. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Age 92 years and lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. He was a six year United States Navy Veteran of WWII. He was instrumental in the construction of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gretna, LA. Longtime volunteer at Mary Joseph Convalescent Center and also Meals on Wheels. Member of Theta Golden Ages, Knights of Columbus #1905, and VFW of Gretna. He was a loving husband and father and loved to fish, boil crawfish, and host family gatherings.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1:30 PM.
