Norman "Dukey" Coates Jr.

Norman “Dukey” Coates, Jr., age 76 and a native of New Orleans, LA, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021. Loving husband of the late Edna Mary Coates for 30 years. Father of Roxanna St. Angelo (John Jr.). Grandfather of Leighana Marie St. Angelo and Geena Marie St. Angelo. Born on June 17, 1944, Dukey was the son of the late Norman D. Coates, Sr. and the late Ledonia Gomez Coates. Brother of Allen “Butch” Coates, Catherine Coates, and the late Ronald Coates. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his grand-dogs Ginger Marie and Teddy Bear St. Angelo. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1PM at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., in Marrero, LA. Visitation will begin at 11AM.
