Simon David Hingle entered into the Heavenly Heavens on May 28, 2022 surrounded by his wife of 51 years and his two daughters. Age 78 years, native of Buras, LA and resident of Crown Point, LA for the past 45 years. Beloved son of the late Emmet Hingle and Rita Dalgo Bruce Hingle. Survived by his loving wife, Linda Billiot Hingle and his daughters, Denise Hotard and Brandy Hingle Mochak (Sean). Proud Paw Paw to Madelynn Theresa Mochak, Kaitlynn Ashley Mochak and Sheldon David Mochak. Also survived by his sister Lynette Hingle Perlander (Carroll). Preceded in death by his late siblings Janice Hingle Arnold (Hardy) and Robert Hingle, in-laws Victor C. Billiot (Mae). Also survived by Gloria Price (Andrew), Victor M. Billiot (Diane), Debbie Mosby (William “Bubba”), and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam War as a radar operator. He worked as a car salesman at various times, school bus operator for Plaquemines Parish, bus operator for Greyhound Transit, boat builder for Billiot Boat Works, retired school bus owner/operator for Jefferson Parish School Board System and a dealer with Times-Picayune. His most honorable pleasure was his joy and love of trawling and boiling seafood with his family. His passion for life was dancing with his wife, spending valuable time with his wife, kids, son-in-law and grandkids going on vacations, especially cruises. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 10:30am to 1pm. Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment at St. Pius X Mausoleum in Crown Point, LA.
