Vincent Godfrey Adams, Jr., 67, was born on March 20, 1954 and passed away on November 2, 2021. He grew up in New Orleans, graduating from Warren Easton High, and later raised his own family in Gretna. He is the son of Dorothy W. Adams and the late Vincent G. Adams, Sr. Vincent was a character to say the least. He was most often cracking jokes when he wasn’t giving people a hard time. He truly lived his life the way he wanted to and he was happy in that right. For much of his life, he was a talented carpenter and an exceptional craftsman and he always made sure to provide a magical Christmas for his children. He was an avid Saints fan who loved Jimmy Hendrix and the Rolling Stones. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving children: Justin H. Adams (Karly), Jason V. Adams (Christina), stepdaughter Heather L. Cina (Frank), and several siblings: Darlene Anthony (Emmit), Dorothy Adams, Brian Adams (Darlene), Arthur Adams (Julie), Ralph Adams (Lee Ann), John Adams (Charlene), Marcus Adams (Sybil). He is grandfather to Jacie Adams, Dara Lafont, Sophia Adams, Nathan Adams, Juliana Adams, Jensen Adams, and Zoey Adams. He is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Linda Elaine Beym Lafont Adams, his father Vincent G. Adams, Sr., his siblings: Charles Adams and Keith Adams, and his granddaughter: Ava Adams. A Memorial service in his honor will be held at Mothe Funeral Home in Harvey, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA 70005 on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Family is invited for a private viewing from 8-9am, and friends are invited to pay their respects from 9-11am. Donations toward funeral expenses are accepted in lieu of flowers.
