He also owned and operated Prestige Electric in his formative work years. Wayne enjoyed fishing, his family, great food and traveling, especially cruises with his beloved wife, Suzette. This past year, in his battle with cancer, he enjoyed the natural world of his patio nicknamed “Wayne’s World” with abundant birds, plants and wildlife he encountered there with his faithful sidekick, Zoey, the beagle, always near him. Wayne was a great storyteller and loved to reminisce with his friends and family about life during his formative years in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s along the Harvey Canal and the Westbank as he worked and traveled. He was also known for his love of the band, Queen. He sported several t-shirts with their logo and could frequently be heard in his sing-alongs with Freddy Mercury. Special thanks to his exceptional caregivers from Compassus Hospice, Gail, Cheryl, Sarah and Mae. Their kind, professional care allowed him to remain comfortably at home in the arms of his loved ones which was his most fervent wish.
