Adele Smith Barrois

Adele “Slick” Smith Barrois, a lifelong resident of Plaquemines Parish, passed away on July 31, 2011 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late George E. Barrois. Mother of Jerrod, Wendell, Kenneth, Godfrey, and Karen Barrois. Grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late John P. Smith and Arsene Buras Smith. Sister of Doris Doucet and the late Anna Barrois, Viola Smith, Verna Buras, Louis, Feltus, Clifford, Ernest, and Viola Smith. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church of Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 6 PM until 11 PM and again Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 8 AM until 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Belle Chasse, LA at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
