December 4, 1942 — July 7, 2014

Adine Geraldine Kravet Hamback, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at the age of 71 years. Beloved wife of Charles Hamback for 45 years. Loving mother of Charles “Chuck” Hamback, Jr. (Bridgette), Faith H. Fray (Jimmy), David Hamback (Lynn) and William “Billy” Hamback (Kim). Sister of Richard “Dickey” Kravet, the late Edmond and Donald Kravet. Also survived by her beloved 11 grandchildren and 2 expected great grandchildren. Predeceased by one grandchild, two brothers and parents, Beulah Childress Kravet and Edmond Kravet. Mrs. Hamback was an active volunteer in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for many years and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. She also loved to make ceramics and will be sadly missed by her friends at the ceramic studio in Kenner.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., MARRERO, LA on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6 PM until 10 PM and again Saturday from 9 AM until 11 AM. It is requested that, in tribute to Mrs. Hamback, that those who attend the funeral wear a shade of green.
