Adolph Ignatius Lachmann, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Terrytown, LA, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Janeth Gaile Lachmann for 54 years. Loving father of Gretchen L. Lopez (Manuel) and Pauline L. Hartwell (Walter). Grandfather of Anthony and Aaron Lopez, Justin, Rhett-Austin and Treavor Hartwell. Brother of Dorothy Legardia, Thelma Brass, Shirley Lachmann, Arnold Lachmann, the late Phyllis Bernard and Adolph Otto Lachmann. Son of the late Phyllis Bieber and Adolph Otto Ignatius Lachmann. Mr. Lachmann was most recently co-owner of Manny’s Tortilla Chips. He was the former owner proprietor of Mr. Lube, the first 10 minute Oil Change Shop in Louisiana, and also a limited partner at Weathermasters HVAC. Adolph spent most of his working life as a Mechanical Engineer working with the Walk-Haydel Firm. He was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and the former SLI in Lafayette (now known as ULL) where he was a member of Theta Kappa Phi Fraternity. He was also a faithful parishioner of St. Anthony Church, Gretna and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Arch. Blenk Council 1905 and the T.J. Larkin Assembly, 4th Degree.
Relatives and friends of the family also members of the above named organizations are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Church, corner Burmaster and Franklin Ave., Gretna, LA on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11 AM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6 PM until 10 PM and again Saturday from 9 AM until 10:30 AM.
