Aida Viola Benitez

Aida Viola Benitez passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the age of 93 surrounded by loved ones. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Raphael Benitez. Mother of Carlos Patterson (Paula), Elvira Benitez (Geoffrey Cylwik), Rafael Benitez (Jennifer), and Pedro Benitez (Mary Ann). Daughter of the late Hector and Angelica Gonzalez. Preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She retired from Dillard's Department Store in 2001 after 25 years of service. She was a native of Panama City, Panama and a resident of the New Orleans area for the past 67 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9am until 11am.
