Albert P. Guthrie

Albert P. Guthrie passed away on July 24, 2011. He was 89 years of age and resided in Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of the late Norma Fos Guthrie. Father of the late Sandra Guthrie. Brother of Leo J. Guthrie (wife, the late Joyce Hynes Guthrie), Marguerite Boyd (husband, the late William Boyd), the late Lydia Scully, Edna Stentz, Ida Cox, Lena Adam and Whitney Joseph Guthrie. He was in the Merchant Marine and earned Veterans status serving during World War II. He retired as a welder from Avondale Shipyard and was a member of the John McDonogh V.F.W. Post 3121 in Gretna. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
