Albert "A.J." Toncrey Sr.

Albert J. "A.J." Toncrey, Sr. passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy "Sue" Ann Toncrey for 57 years. Father of Albert J. "Jay" Toncrey Jr. (Donna). Son of the late Ida and Albert Toncrey. Brother of the late Hilrie J. Toncrey, Earl A., Lionel T., Curtis V., and Urelda Toncrey. Grandfather of Albert J. "Jason" Toncrey III, (Lori), and Jayme C. Toncrey Anderson (Jeff). Great Grandfather of Ansley L., and Ian J. Seymour, Lynn A. Terrebonne, Jacob P. and Emma C. Toncrey and Haydn Anderson. He was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and was a Merchant Marine for many years. He was an electrical contractor and owner of his own business and a Purification Supervisor for SWBNO. He was loved by many and will not be forgotten. He was a native of Biloxi, MS, a resident of Gretna, LA for 42 years, a resident of Slidell, LA for 22 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday morning from 10am until 1pm.
