Alexis Daja Smith

Alexis Daja Smith "Lexi" 23, of Boutte, LA, passed away on July 7, 2024, in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Born on April 27, 2001, in Metairie, LA, she was a beautiful, cherished member of a large and loving family. Alexis graduated from Destrehan High School in 2019 , Graduated from Aveda Arts and Science Institute New Orleans and pursued further education at Delgado Community College. She was dedicated to her career as a Dental Assistant at Louisiana Dental Center in Laplace, LA, and aspired to become a Dental Hygienist. A devout attendee at Church of The King in Kenner, LA, Alexis was deeply involved and passionate about her love for Christ and her religious community of friends. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, shopping, hair and make-up, dancing, and spending quality time with her family and friends which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Alexis is survived by her mother, Donngelia Landry (Coy), father, Alfred Smith Sr. and siblings: Ellis Bruce, Alfred Smith Jr. (Jacy), Cobe Landry, Cierra Landry, Amiyah and Amina Smith. She was a loving aunt to Jeremiah and Josiah Smith. Her extended family includes her grandparents, the late Donna Whitehead (Hill,Hillbilly,JB), the late Ricky Bruce Sr., Ann Smith, and the late Alfred Sumler, great-grandparents Beverly Guidry, the late Wilbert Guidry, and the late Percy Bruce, uncle Ricky Bruce Jr., great aunt Lori Guidry, the late great aunt Debbie Guidry and her late great uncle Kenneth 'Coon Dog" Guidry, Godmother/Cousin Crystal Scariano (Joe), cousins Gavin Orgeron (Hayden), Grace Bruce, Kate Candies, Addison Brignac , Kampton Cahill, Josepi Scariano (Eli), David Scariano, Josh Guidry, Craig Guidry, Elainah Guidry, Aurora Guidry, Deavionne "Ionney" Wells, and numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, friends and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Mothe Funeral Homes, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA, on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Westwego, LA.
