On November 13, 2024, Alice Schouest Hebert, age 93, peacefully entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, along with all the other family and friends she gathered to herself in this long beautiful earthly life. Alice was the loving and devoted wife of the late Arthur J. Hebert for 64 years. Her parents are the late Joseph Schouest and Josephine Rotolo Schouest of Marrero. Mother, to Jan Hebert Lockstedt (Alan-deceased), Denise Hebert Noonan (Jimmy-deceased), and the late Jay Anthony Hebert. Grandmother of Jared LaMaison, (Hailey Chriss) Great Grandmother of Landon, Jaxon, Kennedy and Chase. Sister of Ronald J. Schouest (Margaret) and the late Marie Hebert Schouest. Alice is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Alice was a lifelong resident of the Westbank of New Orleans, Louisiana, residing in Marrero, Lafitte, and Crown Point, where she and her husband lived, worked and raised their three children. Together with her husband they owned and operated, American Aquatic Supply, Inc for thirteen years. Alice retired at age 50, it was then that “the good life” for her began. She experienced all life had to offer her, by traveling with her husband, being involved in St. Anthony Church in Lafitte, The Ladies Altar Society as well as other social groups. She loved collecting recipes, cooking, helping others and feeding anyone she could. For the past ten years she has been a resident of the Lafayette, Louisiana area, residing in Courtyard Assisted Living, then Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation until her death. The family would like to express their sincere and deepest heartfelt appreciation to Pelican Pointe for the love and care given to Alice during her 5-year residency. Family and friends are invited to a reception honoring Alice’s life at the Four Columns in Harvey, La from 1pm to 4pm.
