It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allen J. Orgeron Sr., known affectionately as "JJ". Allen, age 65, departed this world on August 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and unwavering love for his family and friends.
Born March 25, 1959, "JJ" spent his life dedicated to his work, retiring from Tenaris/Hydril after years of service. However, his true joy lay in lending a helping hand to those around. Described as the person to assist anyone with their projects, Allen's generosity and skill knew no bounds.
Allen's family meant everything to him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Hill Orgeron, and children: Allen Orgeron Jr. (Macey), Travis Coon (Jamie), and Christi Orgeron (Nicole Dickson). He was the adored grandfather of Lily Orgeron and Aubrie, Alba, Tobias, and Amelia Coon. Allen also leaves behind his siblings: Pamela Robertson (James), Danny Orgeron (Andrea), and David Orgeron (Linda), as well as his nieces and nephew: Corey Orgeron, Billy, Samantha, and Michelle Orgeron.
In his leisure time, Allen found joy in various hobbies, including golf, darts, beach volleyball, and cruising. His vibrant personality shone through in everything he did, always ready with a witty remark or expression for those around him. His love for life was infectious, and he lived each day to the fullest, cherishing the moments shared with his loved ones.
A man of immense creativity, Allen had a knack for turning dreams into reality, especially those envisioned by his wife, Donna. Together, they brought many ideas to life, creating memories that will forever be treasured.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the funeral service, which will be held at 11AM on August 14, 2024, at Harvey - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC in Harvey, LA. Visitation will begin at 9AM. The burial service will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park in Terrytown, LA. Allen J. Orgeron Sr. may have left this world, but his spirit, laughter, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.
In memoriam, Allen rejoins his parents, Eugene Orgeron and Betty Orgeron, and his nephew Torey Orgeron. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
