Allence “Allen” Creppel, Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the age of 68. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on December 3, 1956, to Marietta and Allence Creppel Sr.
He is the husband of Wendy Kane; the father of Cammie Creppel Murray (Joseph); step-father of Michael Kane (Krysta) and Jason Kane (Meg); the grandfather of Ashlyn Murray (Gary Lohman), Kristyn Hess (Hayden) and Landon Murray; the step-grandfather of Kamdyn Kane and Fiorina Kane; great-grandfather of Hazel Hess; and godfather to Mechille Rushing (Richie). He is the brother of Suzette Green (Robert), Linda Creppel (James Thibodaux), and the late Glenn Creppel and Barbara Baldasaro (late Tony). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
A native and proud resident of Crown Point for over 68 years, Allen began his professional career as a boat captain and was successful and well respected in the New Orleans area. While serving as a swamp tour guide, he instilled knowledge and respect for alligators in others.
Allen was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and caring for wildlife. He also had a passion for cooking, playing board games, and spending time with his loving family and friends. Allen was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.

A memorial service will be held by the family for Allen at a later date.
