Alvin J. “Champ” Boudreaux Jr, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mary Ann Morvant Porter ; his second wife, Janet Blanchard Boudreaux and his third wife, Wilma LeBlanc ; his daughter, Linda Henning; parents, Alvin J. Boudreaux Sr and Ana Plaisance Boudreaux; brothers, Mark Anthony Boudreaux and Tyrone Boudreaux Sr. Champ is loving father of Joseph Rodney Boudreaux, Deborah Boudreaux Kerwin (Harold) and Michael James Boudreaux (Donna). He is devoted grandfather of 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; I great great grandchild. He is loving brother of Mona Dick (Hesden) and Jerry Boudreaux Sr (Jennette). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews with Wayne Boudreaux Sr holding a very special place in his heart. Additionally, he is survived by other family and friends. Champ was a retired Professional Boxer holding several titles throughout his career. Following his career, he was also a boxing manager, promoter and coach for both amateur and professional boxers. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
