Grandfather of Paula Garland (David), Scott Sturgeon (Charla), Shannon Eagerton (Wayne), Aron Sturgeon (Susan), Paul Cotton, Jr. (Yvonne), Ferris R. Granade (Kristy), Tammy Sinoneaux (Kirk), Theresa Ortego (Randy), Michelle Smiley (Andrew), Tabetha Smith, Amanda Carter (Zeb) and Sabrina Granade. Step Grandfather of Randall Bealer (Tiffany), Bryan Bealer (Shari) and Jeffrey Bealer (Kasey). Great Grandfather of Heather, Lane, Kristen, Scotty, Michael, Lily, Luke, Tyler, Maddie, Le, Brian, Logan, Micah, Adam, Anthony, Madlyn, Stephanie, Joshua, Lucas, Brittnee, Dalton, Sierra, Skyler, Alexis, Destiny, Chad, Cole, Jarrett, Woodrow and Ruby. Brother of Easton Cotton and the late Sidney Cotton, Lawrence Cotton, Florence C. Crochet, Lydia C. Poiencot and Elvina C. Matherne. Age 95 years. A native of Houma, LA and a long time resident of Westwego, LA. Alvin is a retired cook for J. Ray McDermott. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to the Staff of Notre Dame Hospice, the Staff of Gonzales Health Care Center and to Deacon Claude Bourgeois for their love and care given to Alvin. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, September 14, 2015 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
