Amie Bertucci Labella

Amie Bertucci LaBella, 56, of Westwego, entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 25, 2013 after a two year battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Joe and Ann Bertucci. Granddaughter of the late Maurice and Lucille Oncale, and Anthony and Angelina Bertucci. Loving sister of Bonnie Plaisance (Chris), Ronald Bertucci (Missy), Sandy Delaune (Mike), Steve Bertucci, JoAnn Saucier (Cornel), Patricia Bilowich (Marty), Laura Beninate (Chris), and the late Daniel Bertucci (Becky). She also leaves to cherish her memory: many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, and an abundance of dear friends who played very important roles in her life. Amie will be fondly remembered by all, to be a loving, caring, generous, supportive, and outgoing person who was admired for her phenomenal organizational skills. She was a long time employee of River Parish Maintenance and an active member in her church. She demonstrated her stewardship by serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Altar Server Moderator, and Fund Raiser Committee Member. Amie was also an active supporter and volunteer for Locks of Love. Her faith and courage these last few years have been an inspiration to all who knew her. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to family and friends who provided Amie with love, care, support, and prayers in her final years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be Celebrated at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 3500 Ames Boulevard (near Barataria Blvd.) in Marrero on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Sunday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Monday from 8 AM to 10:30 AM.
