Anastasia "Anna" Mary Durand Burmaster passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born in New Orleans and resided in Terrytown since 1965.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Earl August Burmaster and her parents Floyd and Anastasia Durand Sr. She is survived by her four children, Betty B. Feehan (Harry), Beverly B. Italiano (Bobby), Glen A. Burmaster (Jeanne) and Connie B. Cassard (Chuck).
"Maw-Maw" is survived by her ten grandchildren, that she loved dearly, Nancy Vega (Kevin), Sandra Capraro, Carol Hunter (Robbie), Beverly Eden (Travis) Robin Richoux (Aaron), Anne Frey (Chad), Glen Burmaster, Mark Burmaster (Tonya), Scott Cassard & Amy Cassard (Chad Powell), and her 17 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving brother and sister-in-law Floyd Durand Jr. and Georgia Durand and the late Stanley and Donald Durand.
Anna lived her last 3 years with her "Woldenberg family" playing bingo and enjoying outings with the friends she made at Woldenberg. Anna was also a member of the Red Hatters Club. She was 2015 Queen of Mardi Gras at Woldenberg.
We would like to thank her care givers, Lisa Sotres and Lisa McCroskey who she loved like daughters. They were her guardian angels.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna, LA
