Andres M. Mesa

Andres “Andy” Mesa, loving husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012.He was born in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba to Maria and Andres Mesa on October 17, 1931. Andy Mesa is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ernestina Mesa, Lydia Guillen, and beloved nephew Antonio Gutierrez. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Elida L. Mesa, daughters Anelys Mesa, Aixa Caro (Gonzalo), granddaughter Sasha Caro, brothers Pedro (Etna), David (Maria Luz), sisters Gloria Gutierrez (Carlos), Fela (Tello), and sister-in-law Iraida Teresita Lopez Llanes, and a host of nephews and nieces. Andy was a retired building contractor and was a resident of Gretna, Louisiana for 41 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 9 AM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 PM to 8:30 PM, resuming on Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 9 AM.
