Anna Roberta Giovengo LaPorte entered Heaven’s gates on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Beloved wife of Joseph LaPorte, Sr. for the past 61 years. Mother of JoAnn Orgeron (Clay), Deborah Mosley, Joseph LaPorte, Jr. (Annette), Mary Delaune (Paul) and David LaPorte (Margaret). Sister of Claire Giovengo, Jean Griffin and the late Doris, Johnny, Richard, Martin and Robert Giovengo. Beloved grandmother of 13, great grandmother of 18 and great great grandmother of 6. Sister-in-law of Anne Savarese, Rose Burton and the late Francis Catalanoto, Josephine, Jimmy, Samuel and Anthony LaPorte. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. LaPorte was an active parishioner of Visitation of Our Lady Church, Marrero, LA. Age, 80 yrs., a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11 AM.
