Anthony "Andy" Foret

Anthony "Andy" John Foret passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at his home in Terrytown, Louisiana. He was 56 years old. Andy was the beloved husband of Kim Hamer Foret and the loving and proud father of Ashlee Foret and Shaun Stanton (Julie). Andy was the son of the late Aline Gabriel Foret and Adler Anthony Foret. He was the brother of Adlea "Tookie" Foret, Adler "Chip" A. Foret, Jr. (Darlene), Kerry T. Foret (Lisa) Michael G. Foret and the late Gayle Foret Halford.. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Originally from Algiers Point, Andy had a passion for hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. He loved sports, especially watching his son behind the plate and his daughter pounding a volleyball. Andy recently worked for the Plaquemines Port Harbor and Terminal District and was a former Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputy for 18 years. He spent much time volunteering for Holy Name of Mary Church, Sunshine Club of Algiers, Algiers Lions Club and especially enjoyed his many years as a member of the Krewe of Choctaw. Family and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, Algiers, LA on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1pm. Visitation will be held at the church from 12noon until 1pm. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
