Antoinette Catalano Badalamenti

Antoinette Josephine Catalano Badalamenti passed away peacefully on December 1, 2015 at 2am. Born June 18, 1929, in Independence, LA., she was 86 years old. She was a resident of Belle Chasse, La for the past 68 years. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Anthony Badalamenti. Daughter of the late Michael J. Catalano and Mary Gagilano Catalano. Mother of Joseph M. Badalamenti, Adeline Balestra (Joe), and Ann Marciante (Paul). Loving grandmother of Dena Durr, Antoinette Melerine, Christina Persand, Jennifer Owen, and Annette Cotton. Great grandmother of Timmy, Josie, Vincent, Griffin, Kelsey, Emily, and Talon. She was the oldest of ten children, Vickie Laird, Mary Ann Miller, Margaret Billiot Cox, Tony and Sal Catalano. She was preceded in death by siblings, Emily Robeau, Lucy Robinson, Vincent and Frankie Catalano. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Antoinette did volunteer work at JoEllen Smith Hospital and loved to volunteer when it was time to bake Italian cookies for the St. Joseph Alters at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and St. Joseph Church in Gretna. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11am. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9am until 11am. Special thanks to everyone at Riverbend Nursing Home who showed such compassion and to the nurses from Hospice Compassus.
