Antonia Silvio Ruth

Antonia Silvio Ruth born January 3, 1923, passed on to eternal rest with our Lord on April 22, 2012. Known by many names, Totsy, Grock, Inez and a few others. She worshipped life and embraced the Ten Commandments. Always the mother, grandmother, great-grandmother she will be missed by all but forgotten by no one. Survived by her beautiful daughter Carol Ruth Chouest, her loving son Melvin Ruth, Jr. and a humbled son in law Jeff F. Chouest, Jr. Also survived by four grandchildren, Christen Chouest Hibbs, Ashley Chouest Giles (Jason Giles), and Jeff Chouest III and Julien N. Chouest II, as well as great-grandchildren whom she guided through life Madison Chouest Hibbs and Joseph Alexander Giles, and her great-grand dogs Kiddy and Bruiser. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Melvin Ivan Ruth, Sr., parents Charles Silvio and Frances Piazzia Silvio; brothers and sisters, Joseph, Emile, Sara and Rosie Silvio. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3101 Eton Street, Algiers, LA on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 12 Noon. Visitation will be at church from 9 AM until Mass time. Interment will follow at Lakelawn Park Mausoleum, New Orleans, LA.
