Arnold Francis Lassere

Arnold Francis Lassere, Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. He was born in Algiers, LA on August 3, 1943. He was a beloved and loving husband of 51 years to Celeste Barrios Lassere. He is survived by his sons: Gregory and Chad Lassere; daughters-in-law Rebecca and Lindsy Lassere and grandchildren: Sarah, Abigail, Ryan and Kaitlin Lassere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arneaux and Bernice Lassere and in-laws, James Barrios and Myra Dufour Barrios Chamblee. He is also survived by his siblings: Mary (George) Bladsacker, Janet (Butch) Syrdal, and Gary (Deborah) Lassere and many nieces and nephews.

Arnold was a long-time resident of Marrero, LA. He retired after 35 years from Chevron Chemical and spent his retirement volunteering at Joshua Butler Elementary.

Arnold loved spending time with his friends and family, celebrating Mardi Gras and holidays and traveling to see his sons and their families. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, Jun 19, 2023 , in the chapel of  Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA  at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be held from 10am until 1:30pm. Interment to follow: Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
