Asal Hana Tanus

Asal Hana Tanus, born in Amman, Jordan on January 19, 1956, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the age of 69. Ms. Asal lived in New Orleans, LA.

She was the daughter of the late Hanna Daoud Tanous and the late Malakeh Ibrahim Azar Daoud. The mother of Marlene Suhail Haddad. Sister of the late Daoud Hanna Tanous, the late Iskandar Hanna Tanous, Aida Hanna Tanous, the late Azar Hanna Tanous and the late Mousa Hanna Tanous. Aunt to Firas, Marwan, Hanna, Lina, Abeer and Rasha Daoud Tanous; Hana, Issa, Khader, Hannah, Malakeh, Insaf, Intisar, Muna and Nael Iskandar Tanous; Salwa, Sana, Wafa, Rema, Reyed and Rami Salamah Haddad; Yousef, Nader, Loay, Elias, Fadia, Feda, Fadwa and Jad Azar Tanous; and Ghandi, Ziad, Basel, Michael and Ayed Mousa Tanous. Dear friend to Najat Ghanem, Amal Abbas and Hilwa Aladwan and her Hilwa's family Yousef W and Ruth Salem Aladwan and their children Jebreil and Jobert, Sawsan Aladwan, Jamal Aladwan and Samer Aladwan.

She loved to garden and cook and had a love for life that was infectious. She adored her dogs Zuzu, Snowball and Frosty. 

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church, 5333 St Bernard Ave, New Orleans, LA from 9:30 to 11:00 am. The funeral Services will start at 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life to after at St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church. Interment to immediately follow the Celebration of Life at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1255 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA.
