Ashley Bennett Dejean

Ashley Bennett DeJean passed away on January 26, 2014 at the age of 30 years. Beloved wife of Derek T. DeJean. Devoted and loving mother of Molly DeJean. Daughter of Evelyn Ford Bennett and Alan Bennett. Sister of Shelby Bennett-Dube and her husband Joey. Daughter-in-law of Gary and Kandy DeJean. Sister-in-law of Alexis DeJean. Granddaughter of Peter and Lois Ford, Nadine Bennett, the late Lloyd Bennett and Laura and Charles Ogden. Also survived by many other loving family members and friends.
Ashley attended Nicholls State University and earned her BA in Elementary Education. She worked for St. Charles Parish Public Schools and spent several years at Luling Elementary School. She touched the hearts and lives of so many children and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Holy Family Catholic Church, 155 Holy Family Lane in Luling on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 9 AM to 11 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow.
