Atward James Theriot

Atward James Theriot passed away on March 8, 2012 at the age of 90 years. He is a native of Gheens, LA and resided in Westwego, LA for 63 years. Beloved husband of Bessie Bourg Theriot. Devoted father of Suzanne Murphy (husband, Patrick), Michael Theriot (Lenelle) and the late Adrienne Sherwood. Grandfather of Lee Williams, Michael Theriot, Jr., Jason Sherwood, Michel Mason and Casey Murphy. Great-grandfather of Nola, Jude, Eden, Christian, Lionel Jr., Leah and Lauryn. Brother of the late Asward Theriot, Tracy Theriot, Beulah Dufrene, Pearly Boudreaux, Frances Larose, Gladys Doiron and Beatrice Butcher. Son of the late Ernest and Marie Theriot.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Celotex Corp. and was a member of the Banter Fraternity. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Charles Simonson and staff, Heart of Hospice and Total Home Health for their compassionate care.
