Aubry "Jay" Buras

Aubry "Jay" Joseph Buras passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Margaret Shirley Buras. Father of Kathleen Plaisance (Gerard) and Jay A. Buras ( Gwen). Son of the late Aubry L. Buras and Phillipine Schmidt Buras. Brother of Eugene J. Buras Sr. (Merle). Grandfather of Eddie P. Benoit, III, Erica A. Benoit, Gerard J. Plaisance III, Jay A. Buras Jr., Amy L. Buras and Jessica L. Buras. Great Grandfather of Alyson T. Benoit, Tyler M. Buras and Madison T. Buras. Also survived by his beloved canine friend, Chante. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA for the past 52 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also members of IBEW Local Union 130 are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1pm.
