Audrey Millet Kennedy

Audrey Millet Kennedy, a native and lifelong resident of McDonoghville (Gretna), LA, died Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Louis “Chuck” Kennedy, Jr. Loving mother of daughter, Hedy Kennedy Keating; son in law, Ralph Land who so lovingly cared for Audrey; and son, Louis J. Kennedy, III. Grandmother of Kory M. Keating (Emily). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. Sister of the late Roy, Charles and Clarence Millet, Jr. Daughter of the late Odile Lassere and Clarence Millet, Sr. Mrs. Kennedy was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony Church, Gretna. She was also Past President of the Westbank Lions Auxillary and Past Captain of the Krewe of Nefertari.
Relatives and friends of the family, also members of the above named organizations are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Anthony Church, corner of Burmaster and Franklin Ave., Gretna, LA on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 1:30 PM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA on Friday from 9 AM until 1:00 PM. The family wishes to thank all of their family members and friends for their love and support during Audrey’s Illness. They also wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Guardian Home Health and Hospice for their care and compassion, especially Zena, Stephan, Nicole, Ms. Bell and Gaspar.
