Audrey Grace Scheffler

Audrey Grace Wilty Scheffler departed this life peacefully at her home on May 24, 2015. Audrey was born on July 20, 1922 to Henry S. Wilty Sr. and Frieda Loehn Wilty, who predeceased her. Audrey was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, William John (Dubby) Scheffler, Jr., and her sister Helen Wilty Chiasson. Her 94 year old brother, Henry S. Wilty Jr., survives Audrey. Audrey and Dubby had three children, Bill Scheffler (Pepper), Janet Boyle and Judi Wilkinson (Andy). She was grandmother to Susan Fogarty, Will Scheffler, Louis Boyle Jr., Drew Wilkinson, Heather Boyle, Kristin Durand and Michael Boyle. She was great grandmother to Elizabeth and Caroline Fogarty, Jeremy and Alec Scheffler, Kayleigh and Michael Boyle, Jr., and Grace and Charlie Wilkinson. Audrey lived a full and happy life. She and Dubby traveled the world, both with friends and alone together. Pick a spot on the globe (except Australia) and they had been there, and were always eager to relate their stories! The family would like to thank primary caregivers Michelle Scarbrough and Tammy Blanchard for the love and kindness they showed mother throughout her illness. We would also like to thank Heart of Hospice nurses, aides, and staff for their compassion and guidance. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 10:30am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 620 Eliza Street, Algiers, LA. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church, are preferred. In the words of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, " I tell you today you will be with me in Paradise."
