Augustine "Gus" Lecompte

Augustine “Gus” LeCompte, born May 1, 1938 in New Orleans, LA entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 24, 2013. Beloved husband of Patricia B. LeCompte and the late Berna Rae “Bonnie” Clause LeCompte. Father of Celeste L. Savoie, husband Richard; Beryl L. Thibodeaux, husband Lonnie; Damien LeCompte, wife Lynda; and Eric LeCompte, wife Jennifer. Son of the late Mead J. LeCompte and Marie L. LeCompte. Brother of Joyce Gros and Linda Boudreaux. Survived by 5 grandchildren, Chris Savoie, Mandy Savoie, Chad Thibodeaux, Derick LeCompte and Cody LeCompte. Gus is also survived by 2 step great grandchildren, Richard Burke and Ashley Burke as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Age 75 years; a resident of Bridge City, LA. Gus is retired from Avondale Shipyard and was a member of Msgr. Peter Wynhoven Knights of Columbus Council No. 3091. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, October 28,2013 from 9AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
