Avon A. "Joe" Vinson

Avon A. “Joe” Vinson, Jr. passed away on November 7, 2013 at the age of 72 years. Former husband of Linda Lajaunie Vinson Firmin. Father of Chris Vinson (Elisa) and Robert Vinson (Veronica). Grandfather of Zachary, Tory, Abigail, Eve and Benjamin. Brother of Dale Stiltner, Colleen Parker and the late Barry Vinson. Son of the late Rita Labit Vinson and Avon A. Vinson, Sr.
Joe served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and later retired from Entergy. He was a talented photographer and enjoyed being with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 12 Noon to 3 PM.
