Avonelle Bieber Shannon

Avonelle Bieber Shannon, peacefully passed away on May 15, 2024 at the age of 80. She was born on July 24, 1943, in Gretna, LA. She was a resident of Harvey, LA and retired from the Jefferson Parish Public School System. 

Avonelle will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family and friends, daughter Shawn Shannon Ribaul; son William Patrick Shannon; granddaughters Ashley Shannon Duhon and Katherine Ribaul; grandson William Ribaul; great-grandchildren Cayden Duhon, Aria Duhon, and Cohen Duhon; sister Carolyn Sciretta; and brother-in-law Michael Shannon.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband William Hugh Shannon, as well as her father Allen Bieber and mother Velma Boudreaux Bieber.

A visitation for Avonelle will be held at Harvey - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC in Harvey, LA on May 24, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will follow at the same location from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The interment ceremony will take place at Westlawn Memorial Park in Terrytown, LA at 12:15 PM.
