Barbara Schouest Baye passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of 55 years to Donald J. Baye. Loving mother of Lisa Richoux. Mother-in-law of Terry Richoux. Grandmother of Erin Sketchler (Owen) and Lauren Elise Richoux. Daughter of the late Elise Adams Schouest and Meyer Schouest. Sister of Charles (Barbara), Larry and Brenda Schouest. Survived by many loving relatives and friends, especially her cousin, Donna Martinez and Great Neice Corynn Schouest. Barbara was born in New Orleans, LA and lifelong resident of Harvey. Relatives and friends, also employees of DIS, Dr. Albert Hendler and Drs. Labadie and Labadie are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 6PM until 9PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 10AM until 1PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred. Information: 504-366-4343.
