Barbara Greene Chase Bowers

Barbara Greene Chase Bowers entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of 21 years to Hansell P. Bowers, Jr. Daughter of the late Eddie Lee Greene and Julia Frances Smith Greene. Mother of Paul C. Merritt (Kim), Jack E. Allen, Jr. (Carrie) and William David Allen (Ramona). Sister of Edward Allen Greene (Shirley), Wanda Greene Robinson, Billy Harold Greene (Mae), Perry Thomas Greene (Sandra), Jerry Lee Greene (Melanie) and the late Kenneth Greene. Barbara is also survived by 2 grand daughters and 4 grandsons as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was born in Ayden, NC and resided in Harvey, LA for the past 30 years. Barbara was a school teacher with the Jefferson Parish School System. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
