Barbara Tuma Evans

Barbara Tuma Evans passed away on December 26, 2013 at the age of 80 years. Loving mother of Julie Hicks (husband Gary) and Thomas Kit Evans (wife Jessica) and devoted grandmother of Kelcie Hicks, Danielle Hicks, John Hicks, Lauren Evans, Chloe Evans, Bella Anderson, John Evans and Charlie Evans. Sister of Carson Tuma. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Thomas Evans and her parents, Clara and Kit Tuma. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. She is a native of Corpus Christi, TX and resided in the New Orleans area since 1959.
Barbara was a devout member of Calvary Baptist Church in Algiers. She was an avid bridge player and loved to spend time with family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Her remains will thence be transferred to Seaside Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, TX for services and burial.
