Barbara Perrett Herzog

Barbara Perrett Herzog, a lifelong resident of Gretna and Harvey, LA passed away on Monday, December 12 at Our Lady of Wisdom Health at the age of 85. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Flossie (Thoede) Perrett. Wife of the late Robert J. Herzog. Loving Mother of William, Robert (Trish), David, Mary H.(Irwin) Richoux, Jr., Richard (Cindy), and Thomas Herzog. Sister to the late Ernest C. and Robert L. Perrett. Grandmother of Margaret (Tim) Flair, Julie Lipari, Scott (Britny) Richoux, Brian (Carly), Matthew (Kellie), Stephen, Emily and Clayton Herzog. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren. Loving “Sis” and cousin to Lois and Donald Folse. Sister-in-law of Barbara H. Kass and Florence H. Bourgeois. Good friend of long time hairdresser, Connie Lowery. Mrs. Herzog was a retiree of the Jefferson Parish School System. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of OLW, especially Neighborhood B, and Shirley, Joyce and Valerie, for their loving care. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 17, 2011 in the Chapel at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center, 5600 Gen. DeGaulle Ave., New Orleans, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation at 12 noon at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center. Interment at Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
