Barbara Ann Pieno Loyacano

Barbara Ann Pieno Loyacano passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, at the age of 79.
Loving wife of Jacob “Jake” R. Loyacano Sr., beloved mother of Jacob “Jake” R. Loyacano Jr. (Angel) and Jeannie Marie Loyacano Smith (Greg). Daughter of the late Joseph Pieno and Rosemary Arceneaux Pieno. Sister of Debbie Deleo (Richard) and the late Joseph Pieno Jr. Daughter-in-law of the late Sam Loyacano and the late Mary Scanio Loyacano. Grandmother of Jacob “Jakie-Boogie” R. Loyacano III and Cole Smith.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Marrero, but she has been a resident of Covington, La for the past few years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 6797 Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara will be dearly missed by those that love and knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Services on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11am at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, La 70094. The visitation will begin at 9am. Interment will immediately follow the Mass in Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, La.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the St. Joseph Altar of your choice.
