Our beloved Barbara Ann Ferris O'Connor, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024 at the age of 85. Daughter of, the late Christopher C. Ferris and Elizabeth K. Ferris. Wife of the late Ronald "Buck" O'Connor. Mother of Karen 0. Hunter (Lee), Colleen O. York (Cary), Nina O. Brossette (Mark), the late Darren P. O'Connor, and Tommy S. O'Connor.
Grandmother to 12 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 23, and great-great Grandmother to 1. And several Nieces and Nephews.
She was born in New Orleans, La, but spent most of her life in Marrero, La., where she was a mother to wayward animals of all kinds.
The funeral will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LAPALCO BLVD., on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 10AM. Visitation will begin Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 6PM-9PM, and Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 8AM-10AM. All family and friends are welcomed. Interment will follow immediately at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
